Welcome to Pendine Sands

Welcome to the picturesque village of Pendine, nestled in the heart of Carmarthenshire and home to the world-renowned Pendine Sands. Stretching seven miles from Gilman Point to Ginst Point, our stunning beach boasts a rich history as a hub of automotive innovation. In the early 20th century, Pendine Sands emerged as a premier destination for car and motorcycle racing, its firm, flat expanse offering a superior track to the roads of the era. The 1920s further solidified its legacy as a theatre of record-shattering speed trials. This website, crafted by Pendine Community Council, serves as a gateway for both our community and visitors, inviting you to explore the unique heritage, natural beauty, and vibrant culture of Pendine.
